Mommy keeps stealing my sugar!This week was Jasper's first week at Laci's house. He seems to be coming out of his shell more and more there. The first day I think he spend most of it trying to just take everything in. Now he is settling in more of his own routine. Laci gives us an update each day about how he did. So happy that he is able to go and stay each day with friends that we trust! What a blessing.
We were giving Jasper a bath the other day and were amazed at how big he looked sitting in his bathtub. His torso is almost longer than the foam insert for his bathtub. Don't know what we will do if he gets much longer. I guess we will have to try to use the tub without the foam. Hope it won't be too hard without it. I guess when you are the length of the average 4 month old at 2 months old, it makes things fit a little differently for you. :)
He seems to be enjoying baths more now. He used to scream and cry when he got a bath but now he sits there very content. Trying to pour warm water over him every few minutes throughout the bath to keep him from getting so cold...maybe that is what is making the difference. I don't know. He sure does like to get his hair washed. You rub on his head and he just sit there and looks at you like "Ahhhh that feels good." He likes to be pampered but then again who doesn't. :)
He has found his tongue and his hands. He seems to be either putting his hand in his mouth, sticking out his tongue or trying to lick something all the time. The licking thing is new. He will lick your shirt while you are holding him, he licks his hands, and likes to blow spit bubbles. Oh the life of a baby.
He is drink 5 oz per feeding these days but is not eating as often. He was drinking 3-4 oz every 3 hours, now he is drinking 5 oz every 4 hours. So he's getting about the same amount overall but is just getting more at the time.
Oh yeah, Joey and I are doing well. But then again I'm sure folks reading this are more interested in what's up with Jasper not us boring adults. Ha Ha!
